Content marketing – the whole realm of it – from social media marketing to SEO content to blogs, continues to grow, according to the “Quarterly Digital Intelligence Briefings: Digital Trends for 2013″ survey, conducted by Econsultancy. In today’s digital environment, brands can’t afford to be slow on the uptake, which causes marketers to develop content marketing strategies quickly for 2013. Content marketing, the top priority Marketers are adjusting their focus to make content marketing and conversion rate optimization a priority in the coming year. In fact, it emerged as the dominating priority for marketers in Econsultancy’s survey. Blekko’s Izik tablet app presents branded content in a new way

As Americans turn their attention toward tablet devices for research purposes, brands will alter their strategies to reach these internet users. While Brafton recently reported that mobile users and PC users don’t act much differently when navigating the web, Blekko, a U.K. based search engine, unveiled its tablet-friendly hub Izik to provide tablet owners with a better search experience. The new design focuses on organizing a wide array of media into SERPs, which forces marketers to develop content marketing strategies that include diverse media offerings. Lonely Americans turn to Facebook

Students at the University of Arizona were asked about their Facebook habits in order to determine if updating accounts affected their moods. According to the report conducted by Psychology Researcher Fenne große Deters from the Universitat Berlin, college students who post more status updates throughout the week feel less lonely, even if no one “Likes” or comments on their posts. The study evaluated approximately 100 undergraduates, all of whom actively used Facebook prior to the study, and looked into how the act of publishing original status updates to the social network led to higher rates of happiness.
